Ready For The Weekend Lyrics

Ready For The Weekend Lyrics

Counterfeit, counterfeit
That's what you're shouting at me
I could run but I'd sooner have this
And I make her bleed
Lick the blood stain from your finger
Say what do you see?
Remind you that whatever you get is
What you want it to be
You get a feeling, that's what you choose
And I was told there was not a minute to lose
So if you're waiting, jump out your skin
To find a cure for whatever state you're in
I tell my good friends, get out the way
Of all the lightning hitting the trees today
We get a thrill from clapping our hands
We find the nearest girl and ask her to dance
I put on my shoes and I'm ready for the weekend
I put on my shoes and I'm ready for the weekend
I put on my shoes and I'm ready for the weekend
I put on my shoes and I'm ready for the weekend
Weekend, weekend, weekend
Coming back, coming back
To a place where I never knew
Pushing knobs, pushing faders
But I don't know what they do
This reflection in my mirror
Reminds me of you
When I tilt it towards the sunlight
You fall out of view
You get a feeling, that's what you choose
And I was told there was not a minute to lose
So if you're waiting, jump out your skin
To find a cure for whatever state you're in
I tell my good friends, get out the way
Of all the lightning hitting the trees today
We get a thrill from clapping our hands
We find the nearest girl and ask her to dance
I put on my shoes and I'm ready for the weekend
I put on my shoes and I'm ready for the weekend
I put on my shoes and I'm ready for the weekend
I put on my shoes and I'm ready for the weekend
I put on my shoes and I'm ready for the weekend
Weekend, weekend, weekend
I put on my shoes and I'm ready for the weekend
Weekend, weekend, weekend
I put on my shoes and I'm ready for the weekend
Weekend, weekend, weekend
I put on my shoes and I'm ready for the weekend
Weekend, weekend, weekend

lyric In Fact – KAT-TUN

In Fact – KAT-TUN
The light is scattered around
The shadows are tainted white
How many nights are going to pass?
The fog is rising
Inching ahead without seeing
There is no border between heaven and earth
The many thousands of stars are blinking and dissolving
The rise of pretense
Can’t escape from the eyes
(Just like a labyrinth with no exit)
The crying wind in the sky
Your voice is soon drowned out
No matter how many times my voice becomes hoarse
From how much I call out to you
Even the flickering illusion stands in my way
Advancing slowly while quietly following the footprints
Lets run away from despair
Lets return
Until our ideal day comes
Today I’ll search for your answer again
Suddenly I open my palm
My hope begins to tremble
Within the fog
Night’s curtain spreads
Lets destroy the lies of the past Ah~
The edge of truth’s time has come Oh~
No matter how many times my voice becomes hoarse
From how much I call out to you
Even the flickering illusion stands in my way
Advancing slowly while quietly following the footprints
Lets run away from despair
Lets return
Until our ideal day comes
Today I’ll search for your answer again
Suddenly I open my palm
My hope begins to tremble
Within the fog
Embracing your wound

SM Town Live World Tour III was the 2012–2013 worldwide live concert tour by SM Town. The tour commenced with one show in Anaheim, California on May 20, 2012 and continued in Hsinchu, Tokyo, Seoul, Jakarta, Singapore and Bangkok. The opening video during May 20 concert in Anaheim also hinted possible future dates in Europe, Asia, and the United States.

Background

SM Town is the name for the artists under Korean record label SM Entertainment. Each year the company organizes their artists to come together and perform on a four to six hours long concert that tours around the world.[1] The concert takes approximately 96 hours to set up, with equipment coming from multiple countries across Asia including South Korea, Taiwan, US, Japan, Indonesia, Thailand and Singapore. The show's total production value is estimated at USD$5 million, with half being spent on pyrotechnics and staging alone.[2]

Concerts

The LA concert on 20 May 2012 was attended by Korean American actress Arden Cho, music producer Quincy Jones, who also attended the after party,[3] and other music producers and composers, namely The Underdogs, who produced Beyoncé Knowles's "Listen" and Chris Brown's "Turn up the Music". It was played to an audience of 12,000.[4]

The concert in Taiwan was played to an audience of 30,000 and lasted for more than four hours with over 50 songs by BoA, Kangta, TVXQ, Super Junior, Girls' Generation, Shinee, f(x), EXO, Zhang Li Yin; and sub-groups Super Junior-M and TaeTiSeo.[5] The artists were greeted by over 1,000 fans when they flew into Taiwan Taoyuan International Airport on the Friday prior to the concert.[6] The two concerts held at the Tokyo Dome in August attracted an audience of over 100,000 people and the demand outstrip supply by six-to-one. The Tokyo Dome dates will be broadcast in Japan via Fuji TV.[7]
The concert at the Gelora Bung Karno Stadium in Jakarta, Indonesia attracted over 50,000 people, becoming the largest concert ever to be played at the stadium. The artists were greeted by over 3,500 fans when they arrived in Soekarno-Hatta International Airport on 21 September 2012, one day before the concert.[8] Super Junior leader Leeteuk was unable to perform during the concert due to exhaustion and enteritis, for which he made an apology the following day via his Twitter account.[9] Sulli of f(x) and Minho of SHINee were not at the Seoul Concert as they were filming for their drama, "To the Beautiful You".

Reception

John Seabrook, a journalist from The New Yorker who attended the concert in Anaheim, California, wrote: "Occasionally, the concert seemed like a giant pep rally. But at its best it elicited primal pop emotions that only a few of the greatest pop artists—the Beach Boys, the early Beatles, Phil Spector’s girl groups—can evoke: the feeling of pure love."[10]

We Are One (Ole Ola) Lyrics

Put your flags up in the sky (put them in the sky)
And wave them side to side (side to side)
Show the world where you're from
(show them where you're from)
Show the world we are one (one love, life)
Ole ole ole ola
Ole ole ole ola
Ole ole ole ola
Ole ole ole ola
When the going gets tough
the tough get going
One love, one life, one world
One fight, whole world, one night, one place
Brazil, everybody put your flags
in the sky and do what you feel
It's your world, my world, our world today
And we invite the whole world, whole world to play
It's your world, my world, our world today
And we invite the whole world, whole world to play
Es mi mundo, tu mundo, el mundo de nosotros
Invitamos a todo el mundo a jugar con nosotros
Put your flags up in the sky
(Put them in the sky)
And wave them side to side (side to side)
Show the world where you're from

Show the world we are one (one love, life)
Ole ole ole ola
Ole ole ole ola
Ole ole ole ola
Ole ole ole ola
One night watch the world unite
Two sides, one fight and a million eyes
Full heart's gonna work so hard
Shoot, fall, the stars
Fists raised up towards the sky
Tonight watch the world unite, world unite, world unite
For the fight, fight, fight, one night
Watch the world unite
Two sides, one fight and a million eyes
Hey, hey, hey, força força come and sing with me
Hey, hey, hey, allez allez come shout it out with me
Hey, hey, hey, come on now
Hey, hey, hey, come on now
Hey, hey, hey, hey, hey
Put your flags up in the sky

Não importa o resultado, vamos extravasar
Put your flags up in the sky

Let It Go Lyrics

Let It Go Lyrics

The snow glows white on the mountain tonight
Not a footprint to be seen.
A kingdom of isolation,
and it looks like I'm the Queen
The wind is howling like this swirling storm inside
Couldn't keep it in;
Heaven knows I've tried
Don't let them in,
don't let them see
Be the good girl you always have to be
Conceal, don't feel,
don't let them know
Well now they know
Let it go, let it go
Can't hold it back anymore
Let it go, let it go
Turn away and slam the door
I don't care
what they're going to say
Let the storm rage on.
The cold never bothered me anyway
It's funny how some distance
Makes everything seem small
And the fears that once controlled me
Can't get to me at all
It's time to see what I can do
To test the limits and break through
No right, no wrong, no rules for me,
I'm free!
Let it go, let it go
I am one with the wind and sky
Let it go, let it go
You'll never see me cry
Here I stand
And here I'll stay
Let the storm rage on
My power flurries through the air into the ground
My soul is spiraling in frozen fractals all around
And one thought crystallizes like an icy blast
I'm never going back, the past is in the past
Let it go, let it go
And I'll rise like the break of dawn
Let it go, let it go
That perfect girl is gone
Here I stand
In the light of day
Let the storm rage on
The cold never bothered me anyway!

2014 World Cup: Socceroos' qualification road to Brazil a bumpy, dramatic ride for Australia

2014 World Cup: Socceroos' qualification road to Brazil a bumpy, dramatic ride for Australia

Updated Sun 8 Jun 2014, 12:28pm AEST
Australia has qualified for three consecutive FIFA World Cups; a comparative glut after the 32-year absence following the country's maiden 1974 appearance.
After the heady heights of 2006 and a 2010 tournament filled with controversy and anguish, the Socceroos' attendance at football's showpiece event now seems ensconced in the country's sporting expectations.
Ultimately, the Socceroos lived up to the public's demands in qualifying for the 2014 event, under the guidance of coach Holger Osieck.
But like all good fantasy fiction, the road to Brazil was one filled with peril and despair, before a late run of results saw Australia sneak home by the skin of its teeth.
Look back on how the Socceroos' campaign unfolded, in a journey stretching from late 2011 to mid 2013.
Australia's top-five ranking in Asia saw it granted a bye through to the third round of AFC qualifying, and began its campaign on September 2011 in Brisbane against Thailand.
The world number 120-ranked Thais were daring to dream when taking a 15th minute lead at Lang Park, but local boy Matt McKay sparked a Socceroos revival, assisting both Josh Kennedy and late call-up Alex Brosque in a 2-1 win.
The momentum flowed into Australia's next match as it secured a 3-1 win over Saudi Arabia in 40-degree temperatures in Dammam.
Kennedy followed up his goal against Thailand with a brace against the Saudis, while Luke Wilkshire also scored a penalty.

Leading scorers in 2014 qualifiers

Josh Kennedy (5)
Alex Brosque (3)
Tim Cahill (3)
Brett Holman (3)
Archie Thompson (2)
Luke Wilkshire (2)

Single goal scorers: Marco Bresciano, Brett Emerton, Mile Jedinak, Harry Kewell, Robbie Kruse, Lucas Neill, Tommy Oar.

Australia returned home a month later to face Oman at Sydney's Olympic stadium, and promptly buried the visitors 3-0. Kennedy scored again, while Brett Holman and Mile Jedinak notched their first international goals of the campaign.
But Oman came back with a vengeance in the next match in November, grinding out a 1-0 win in Muscat.
Amad Ali scored Oman's only goal in the 18th minute, and the hosts' defence held strong against an increasingly frustrated Australian attack.
That frustration was soon quelled when Holman fired Australia into the fourth round of qualifying as Australia beat Thailand 1-0 in Bangkok.
The Socceroos needed only a point to progress, but grabbed all three when Holman rose to head in Brett Emerton's cross on the 77th minute.
The dead-rubber against Saudi Arabia still proved an entertaining affair, as Australia hit back from 2-1 down to eventually win 4-2 at AAMI Park.
Brosque netted a brace while Harry Kewell and Emerton all scored in a five-minute triple-goal salvo to turn the match on its head.

Round four: late, scrappy and dramatic

Australia had to make another return to Oman, and suffered in the heat again, grinding out a 0-0 draw in Muscat, before making the quick trip back home to face mighty Japan in Brisbane.
Things looked bad when Mark Milligan was sent off for two bookable offences, before Japanese defender Yuzo Kurihara tapped in to give the Blue Samurai the lead with 25 minutes remaining.
Australian heads were not down for long, when a fortunate penalty on the 68th minute saw Luke Wilkshire slot home in a match that finished 1-1.
But the campaign looked to have lurched badly in the King Abdullah Stadium, as the Socceroos copped a shock 2-1 away loss to Jordan in Amman.
Jordan raced to a 2-0 lead after the half-time break, before Archie Thompson pulled a goal back late on. Poor finishing, however, and frantic defending saw Jordan hold on for victory.
On the back foot and in serious need of a win in round four, Australia procured the three points in Doha with a 2-1 win over Iraq to ease the pressure on coach Osieck.
Again, the Socceroos went behind as Alaa Abdul Zahra put Iraq ahead, but Tim Cahill and Thompson gave the campaign a belated jump start to turn the match around and register Australia's first victory of the round.
The joy, however, was short-lived, as Australia contrived to draw 2-2 with Oman in Sydney, while Jordan shocked Japan 2-1 to send the Socceroos down to third place on the ladder, with only the top-two directly qualifying.
Oman stunned the home crowd into silence with a sixth-minute opener, before Mile Jedinak conceded an own goal shortly after half-time.
Cahill proved Australia's talisman again when he leapt highest to head home a corner, before Holman spared the team's blushes with a raking drive from distance to level the match.
With five games played and only one win and six points to show for their efforts, the Socceroos needed a bright and somewhat unlikely result in Saitama against Japan.
That result suddenly looked imminent when Tommy Oar's cross from the left flank clipped off his marker's foot to sail over the keeper's reach and into the back of the net.
But Japan responded, having kept Australia on the back foot for much of the match, and equalised through a Keisuke Honda penalty. The 1-1 draw was enough to ensure direct qualification for Japan.

In desperate need of two victories in their last two matches, the Socceroos got the first with a convincing 4-0 drubbing of Jordan at Docklands, with Robbie Kruse scoring once and laying on two assists.
The match also saw Australia captain Lucas Neill score his first-ever goal in national colours.
The final match proved as nailbiting as they come for Australian fans, as Iraq stood between direct Socceroos qualification, or more difficult progress through play-offs.
Needing a win to guarantee qualification, the Socceroos looked to have fluffed their lines in front of a nervy Sydney crowd of 80,523 spectators.
The Socceroos almost had an early goal inside four minutes when Kruse and Cahill exchanged passes in the box, before Cahill hit a close range shot at the diving Ahmed Ibrahim.
But the hosts struggled to fashion anything of note afterwards.
Osieck then controversially substituted Cahill for Kennedy, while Thompson came on Kruse.
It proved the correct decision, as Kennedy got on the end of Marco Bresciano's chipped cross to head home the winner, and book Australia's ticket to Brazil.

Epilogue: Osieck sacked, Postecoglou becomes coach

But the elation of securing qualification seemed over almost as soon as it had begun.
Related Story: Osieck sacked after Socceroos debacle in Paris

Australia's next fixtures would see it travel to Brazil and France - two mighty opponents placed many rungs above the Socceroos in FIFA's world rankings.
Two 6-0 thumpings to both teams followed, and Osieck's work in the qualifying campaign seemed a distant memory, as the FFA announced his sacking shortly after the loss in Paris.
Ange Postecoglou, who had led the Brisbane Roar to two A-League titles and had only recently taken the reins at Melbourne Victory, was named as Osieck's successor.
Goalkeeping stalwart Mark Schwarzer also announced his international retirement shortly after completing his move to Premier League giants Chelsea.
Schwarzer's vacancy will be hotly contested by the likes of Mitch Langerak, Mathew Ryan and Eugene Galekovic.
